ADORABLE Hedgehog Cookies

Aren't these adorable. Here is the link:

It is a butter cookie recipe but I can't find instructions for the hedgehog version. Would love to make them for agility classes. Any suggestions?

Very cute! It looks like the dough was rolled in balls before baking, elongating one end for the nose. The baked cookies seem to be dipped in choclate, then finely chopped nuts - pecans maybe? judging from the few larger pieces I can see. The nose and eyes look piped on with the same chocolate as the body.

hard to tell how big they are, but i wonder if the eyes and nose could be mini-chips poked into the right place, point down, before baking?....they do look piped on, but i hate piping, so i'd do it with mini-chips, but the cookies would have to be a fairly generous size for that to work....and i agree that the bodies look dipped and rolled in pecans.

almost forgot...yes, they are seriously cute cookies!

finely shredded coconut would probably also make lovely "fur"

I googled how to make hedgehog cookies and came up with this link

It says to roll in balls and pinch, just like Livingwell suggested.
