Decorating Cupcakes or Cookies-Edible Eyes

I got this by email today and thought I would share. To purchase 'eyes' for cutout cookies or cupcake decorations is next to impossible around here. There is only one decent shop that stocks this sort of thing. If they are out, chances are you need to try mail order. So now I have instructions on how to make my own, in any size I want.

Did you check out how she makes dulce de leche? Really simple. Poke a couple of holes in two cans of sweetened condensed milk, put them in a heavy bottomed sauce pan, fill to the top edge of the cans with water and simmer very gently for four hours! Dulce de leche! Brilliant!
