German Sourdough Rye Bread

Does anyone have a good recipe for German Sourdough Rye Bread? I'm looking for any method Bread Machine or not. Also, is there a special starter to use and recipe for that? Thanks in advance.

Good afternoon. There is a good GERMAN sourdough rye bread recipe known as "SAURTEIG" It appears in a bread book called "LOCAL BREADS" by a very famous bread baker DANIEL LEADER. It also features many european yeasted lean bread recipes. He has spent many years there baking.

If you can go the library & see if you can get it. It is on pg 275...also it makes mention of it on pg 44, as well.
