GF Flourless Brownies

http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2011/08/gluten-free-brownies-recipe-chocola...
So I found this recipe by David Lebovitz and wondered if anyone had tried it. Don't want to waste 8oz of bittersweet chocolate AND don't want to chop it for naught. But judging from other recipes by Lebovitz, they should be great. Was thinking of making them for my daughter when she is home for Christmas.

I've made flourless chocolate cakes and they were delicious, so I imagine a brownie would be equally good. Does your recipe have ground nuts in it? Oops sorry, just looked at the recipe and the nuts are chopped, not ground. They'll come out a little denser than ordinary brownies, but fudgy and if Kate loves chocolate, she will love these.

Yes, and she can't eat almonds so I will use pecans. Photos sure look good.

Hazelnuts are incredibly good if you want to use them. To take the skins off, you bake them and then rub them in a tea towel. That gives them a toasted flavour that is utterly perfect with chocolate.

And then you chop them, right? Don't grind them up?

I haven't made these, but have the recipe bookmarked. Please post about how they turn out if you do try them!

I will have to wait until my GF daughter is home for Christmas. Since I am making cinnamon rolls for the rest of us, these will have to be her treat. Would be good with coffee . . .
