GF gingerbread house recipe
Anyone have a GF gingerbread house recipe they can vouch for? I have several from internet but wanted to see if anyone here has a tried and true recipe that tastes great and is durable!
Thanks,

There is a recipie in the book titled "Gluten Free Baking" by Rebecca Reilly. It is called Graham Crackers. the recipie is too long to post here. But buying this book just for this one recipie is well worth it. Or check it out at the library. Follow the recipie exactly. It makes great crackers to make smores, cookies and ginger bread house. (i've made 2 gingerbread houses with this recipie. I have an 8 year old with a severe wheat allergy and she loves this cookie/cracker!
Enjoy!

I have not tried gluten free gingerbread(yet), but I know from doing regular gingerbread that construction grade gingerbread and yummy tasty gingerbread are not the same thing. At all. You definitely loose much in the way of durability when you add in all the stuff that makes it tasty. Also tasty gingerbread is way more expensive than construction grade. Normally I make my own gingerbread and cut it out for gingerbread houses at Christmas (Bob Villa has some great patterns!)and also make from a separate recipe gingerbread cookies/men. But last year was the first gluten free Christmas and I used store bought gluten free Graham Crackers and did the graham cracker houses instead and they worked just like regular Graham cracker houses.
