Honey Whole Wheat Bread

At 74 years old I began baking bread. That was a year and a half ago and am still learning and loving it. Recently got a recipe on line for a Honey Wheat Bread and since have altered it to become a delicious healthy addition to our menu. The main changes in the recipe were using ground flaxseed instead of oil, adding an egg, adding 1 Tbsp Lecithin granuales and using King Arthur unbleached unbromulated white flour and K.A. whole wheat flour. I've never had much success kneading so I use the bread machine "dough" cycle, punch it down then let it rise in a pre-warmed oven with a pan of water and covered with greased wax paper. The whole process takes about 3 hours and the result is fantastic.

Welcome to The Baking Circle. We are so glad you joined us here. Have you ever cooked this recipe in your bread machine? The reason I ask is because there are a lot of members here who would like a good whole wheat recipe that they could bake in their bread machines. Thank You

Blessings,
Kathleen

I have made this recipe completely in the bread machine but can't say I like it as well as the method I use. It could be my bread machine though. It isn't a really new one and seems like no matter what recipe I use it ends up harder than I like. Using the "dough" cycle works better.
