I make that recipe often, without the pan. If you measure the space for the buns in your pan I'll measure the latest batch I made and we can compare.

Good morning. The recipe weighs out at 27, oz. Divide this amount by 8, buns = 3.3/8ths oz each.
If you require further information post back.
Enjoy the day.

The USA Pan version is on the way to my house today. I am told that the bottom of the pan is 3.5" in diameter and the top is approximately 4".

I am told that the pan with the sides will give more spring to the buns as they cook.

Obviously, one could make 1 gigantic bun from this recipe. As an engineer what is missing is thickness. If you tell me you get 8-3" round pieces of dough 1" inch thick, it is a simple calculation to determine the number of 3.5" or 4" buns you can make. What I don't want is 6 really thick buns or 8 way too thin ones because the size of the pan is bigger than the recipe expected.
