My Recipe Box vs Posted Recipe Box, revisited
Last winter when all the hoo-hah was going on about getting the kinks out of the New BC, PJ asked for input. One of my "biggie" inputs was questioning the wisdom of dumping all of a members' recipes into one heap called Recipe Box, an undesirable and annoying, IMHO, change from how it was done on the OldBC. Not to pick scabs off of old wounds, just stating the situation. I pointed out the reasons it was desirable and made sense, to have the recipes that someone selects to download to a recipe box from others' posted recipes, in a separate listing from those posted by a member themselves. I requested / asked about the possibility of keeping them separate like it had been. I've seen no change in this situation to date, nor response to what I pointed out / requested.
I find it annoying to have to shuffle through all of my own, known recipes when what I want to do is peruse recipes I've downloaded from others. I already know my own and can go to them via my Personal Page; I'm not as familiar with others' and liken it to the fun we all have perusing recipe books as opposed to our filed personal recipes. The list is already long (since members have so many great recipes!) and then adding in all of my posted recipes makes it worse, especially with the unnecessarily (as I see it) wide spacing between the entries. That wide spacing, by the way, makes it an even more visually unfriendly page than it needs to be. (There's that ol' graphic/page designer coming out in me again). Especially with the orange text. hmmm... Lots of white space coupled with a low-contrast text color... not a fave/friendly combo for these old eyes. Just saying.
I get the feeling that what this forum is now, is what I'm going to have to be happy with, input notwithstanding ... however, hope springs eternal in my (possibly unrealistic) world. I do realize that just becuz I suggest something, it may not happen, for any number of reasons. But as I said, hope springs eternal... As I recall, I did suggest that if it was at all possible, perhaps members could have the Option to have it one way or the other, since I realize there will no doubt be those who say that they just love it the way it is.
I would appreciate some "closure" on this topic as to whether there's still a chance for cleaning up the recipe box/it's in the works, or if it is set in concrete as-is. . . so-- where are we on this issue, PJ, or whoever is best qualified to address this? Thanks!

BeachDee, there's always a chance - but truthfully, this change would take a lot of work (even if it's possible, which we haven't been able to determine), and it's low on the priority list. So, I'm sorry, but this won't happen anytime soon. That said, I'll take your entire post here and submit it to those who can actually make things happen, technologically speaking; and I'll see what they say.
The latest thing we've been working on, community-wise, is the threads appearing in chronological order - no more indents, replies that appear out of order, etc. Just appearing in order of when they were posted. Should be implemented soon...

Thank you for your quick response, PJ. And altho the news on the recipe box is a bit disappointing, your news about the chronological listing of posts, is fantastic! Thanks for sharing that, and to the "team" for implementing it.
