I don't know the exact recipe you are talking about, but I wouldn't substitute one to one. Oat bran is a totally different texture/"denseness" than oatmeal. I imagine you could do part of it, but that is just an educated guess, without seeing the recipe. Maybe someone else has a better answer for you...
