Started Starter Now What
I started my started today, 2cups warm water, 1 tbl sugar, 1 pkt yeast, 2 cups KAF. Stirred and covered with a kitchen towel and placed in a warm area. So I stir it every day for, the instructions say, 2-5 days. How do I know when it it ready? And when I want to use it, do I use it then feed it before I store it in the fridge? Thanks. This is my second try.

Ok, I read all the above and came across this:
"The mixture will begin to bubble and brew almost immediately. Let it work anywhere from 2 to 5 days, stirring it about once a day as it will separate. When the bubbling has subsided and a yeasty, sour aromas has developed, stir your starter once more and refrigerate it until you are ready to use it. The starter should have the consistency of pancake batter. "
My question is: After the 2-5 days, I can use the started, then feed it and then refrigerate? Am I correct? Please I guess Im sorta slow at learning..lol
